The Quan-ho (literally the Adoption of Kinship) folk song tradition of Bac-ninh province in North Vietnam. A poetical, courteous, erotic courtship with sophisticated chanting and metaphorical lyrics in a free and leisurely style.
The accompaniment in this piece imitates the 16-string Vietnamese zither.
