so right now. at this very moment as im typing this description. this song doesn't have an official english translation. and i thought it'd be fun to translate so uhhh here goes nothing

warning i am NOT a fluent jpn speaker!!! im still learning!! i won't be surprised if this translation has mistakes and i translated some stuff based on my own interpretation. if i made any mistakes pls let me know in the comments and i'll update the description 👍👍

maybe i'll post more translations and translyrics who knows. i wrote some cherry pop eng translyrics recently does anyone want to see them haha (i have a love-hate relationship with deco and milgram's official eng translations which mostly consists of hate i apologize but sometimes i compare the original lyrics and the translated ones and like. this. this is not how the song goes)

TRANSLATION NOTES:

1. 0:01 i went with "retry now" since it's the official english title. the more "direct" translation is something like "be reborn now" or "reincarnate now"
2. 0:04 this one was hard to translate and if i understood everything correctly it literally says something about "swearing to hurt someone with a thousand needles"(?? girl why). i thought it'd sound kinda silly if i translated it like that so i went with "death by a thousand cuts"
3. 00:29 MY GOD. WHAT IS THIS SENTENCE. (btw this is me complaining about stuff as a linguistics major. the song itself is a banger. nothing against the lyrics nakiso ily) i genuinely have no idea what this is supposed to mean. all the translator apps are saying that it means "your ring is empty/blank now" and like. i checked the kanji meanings and. YEAH I THINK THAT'S RIGHT?? maybe i just don't get it maybe it's some kind of metaphor. i went with my own interpretation im so sorry
01:03 i tried my best to translate this part but im sorry i cannot for the life of me to read this text. i ran it through translator apps as well and the results came out different but they all had the part about blood (though phrased in different ways). i have NO idea what the last bit is supposed to say. i think it's something like "that meaning/point added to an existence/presence of strength"??? idk either if anyone has a better translation i'd love to hear it i really couldn't read the kanji well guys
01:34 the more accurate translation would probably be smth like "we won't be rewarded this time either" but since the song has an obvious game theme i thought "we won't get the achievement" would be more fun :)
01:45 honestly im not sure which translation is the most accurate one in this context. it could be "wait, it hurts-" or "it hurts a little" or maybe something like "suffer a little/feel a little pain". i kinda combined them and again went with my own interpretation
01:46 a quick google search says that twin rays are "two souls, connected by the shared mission or purpose and their bond is not necessarily romantic, but rather focused on spiritual growth".




anyway if you're into hsr doesn't this song sound kinda phainoncore
